About the service
What is Conyx?
Conyx is a service that supports Korean companies at overseas trade shows and identifies the buyers worth meeting there in advance. It is operated by Contentour Inc., which has supported overseas exhibition participation since 2013. Two services are offered — exhibition participation support and pre-show business matching — and you can use either one on its own.
What does exhibition participation support actually cover?
It covers the time-consuming parts of taking part in a trade show: choosing the show, applying, managing preparation, running the stand on site, and wrapping up the results afterwards. We keep track of the organiser’s paperwork and deadlines and maintain a checklist you can follow with us. Booth construction and interpretation are not provided directly — we only advise on how to arrange them.
How are Conyx and Contentour related?
Conyx is the service brand operated by Contentour Inc. Contentour was founded in 2013, is an officially registered service provider for the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups export voucher programme, and obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification in 2025. Contracts and tax invoices are issued under the name Contentour Inc.
Can I use only one of the two services?
Yes, you can use just one. If you have already registered for a show, you can ask only for business matching; if you find buyers yourself, you can ask only for participation support. Using both means one manager keeps the preparation schedule and the meeting schedule in view together, so the two are less likely to drift apart.
Which trade shows do you cover?
We maintain information on more than 190 overseas trade shows across 23 countries and 24 industries. Well-known shows such as MEDICA, Maison&Objet and Medical Fair Asia are included, and you can browse them by country and industry on the exhibitions page. If a show is not on the list, we can still check during a consultation whether we can support it.
Can you handle booth construction or interpretation?
Booth construction and interpretation are not provided by Conyx. Because stand types and interpreter arrangements differ from show to show, we do explain the options and what you need to check. Selecting and contracting builders or interpreters is done by the exhibiting company.
Pre-show business matching
What is pre-show business matching?
It is the work of deciding, before the show opens, which of the companies attending are worth meeting. Instead of sitting at your stand and waiting to see who walks by, you fly out with appointments already arranged. You receive a shortlist together with the reason each company is on it.
How do you decide which companies are worth meeting?
We look at whether four things line up: the products handled, the industry, what the company does well, and the market it is aiming at. In practice that means checking whether the other company could actually buy or distribute your product, and whether it operates in the market you want to enter. We do not publish the internal method behind that judgement, but the reason each company was selected is written into the result.
What form do the matching results take?
You receive a list showing each company’s name and business, its relationship to you (potential buyer, distribution channel, complementary partner, and so on), and the reason to meet. The list is available on a screen you access after logging in; a separate written report can be arranged during the consultation. A specialist reviews the list before it is handed over.
Are buyer meetings guaranteed?
No, we do not guarantee that a meeting will take place. Whether a company replies to a meeting request is entirely their decision. What we do is choose counterparts with a clear reason to meet and prepare the proposal, which raises the chance of a reply.
Where does the exhibitor list come from?
We work from the exhibitor lists published by show organisers together with information the companies themselves have made public. Shows release their lists at different times, and some only publish shortly before opening. For those shows we build an initial shortlist from the previous edition and revise it once the current list appears.
Can I get matching without exhibiting at the show?
Yes. We prepare the list of companies to meet even if you are only visiting. A visit without a stand is usually short, so having appointments arranged in advance matters even more.
When should business matching start?
The earlier the better. Time is needed to shortlist companies, send proposals and wait for replies. If you contact us late we will still set out what is possible in the time left, so it is worth asking even when the schedule is tight.
Exhibition participation support
How far does exhibition participation support go?
It runs from choosing the show and applying through preparation management, on-site operation, and the summary of results afterwards. We track the organiser’s required documents and deadlines and maintain a shared checklist of what still needs doing. Booth construction and interpretation are advised on but not provided directly.
I am not sure which show to attend — will you decide for me?
We review which shows fit, based on your industry and target market. The type and scale of buyers differ from show to show, and exhibiting at the wrong one simply costs money. We narrow it down to a few candidates and compare them; the final decision is yours.
This is our first overseas show — can we manage it?
Yes, first-time exhibitors can manage it. We set out what has to be done and by when, in order, so fewer things get missed. We take on the unfamiliar parts such as paperwork and scheduling, leaving you to focus on the product and the sales conversations.
Do you come to the show itself?
We do when on-site support is part of the agreed scope. We help run the stand, keep records of the meetings held, and sort out issues with the organiser as they come up. Because this depends on the show and the agreed scope, please mention it during the consultation if you need someone on site.
Do you handle shipping and customs for exhibits?
Shipping and customs are carried out by a partner freight forwarder or the show’s appointed forwarder; our role is to connect you with them and keep the documents and deadlines on track. Exhibits that will be brought home rather than sold can travel on an ATA Carnet, which avoids import duty. We set out the documents needed and when they are due.
What happens after the show ends?
We compile a post-show report covering the companies met and what was discussed. Without a record of who said what and what comes next, contacts made abroad rarely turn into anything. If you attended through a public support programme, we also prepare the material needed for its reporting.
Fees and contracts
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on the show and the scope you hand over, so we quote after a consultation. Even for the same show, the amount varies considerably with the participation format (group pavilion or individual stand) and how much of the preparation we take on. The consultation is free and carries no obligation to sign.
How do I get a quote?
Send an enquiry through the contact page and a manager will confirm the show and the scope you need before sending a quote. If the show is not decided yet, we shortlist candidates with you first and quote after that. You can also reach us by phone (+82-2-868-1522) or email (info@contentour.co.kr).
Can I just have a consultation without signing anything?
Yes, a consultation on its own is fine. It is free, and we start by checking whether there is a show worth attending and what is achievable in the time available. We do not push a larger scope than needed, and we will say so if the fit is poor.
What if the show is rescheduled or we cancel?
If the organiser changes the dates, we rebuild the preparation plan around the new schedule. If you cancel, refunds of the registration fee already paid to the organiser follow that show’s own rules, which differ by event. The scope of our service and how it is settled are written into the contract in advance.
Export voucher and public programs
Can the Korean export voucher be used for trade show costs?
Yes. Companies awarded an export voucher can pay for trade-show-related services with it. Contentour Inc. is an officially registered service provider under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups export voucher programme, so your voucher can be applied to our services. Which items the voucher covers follows that year’s programme announcement, so we confirm the detail during the consultation.
What is a registered service provider?
A registered service provider is a company approved to deliver services paid for with government programme vouchers. Companies selected for a programme choose the services they need from the list of registered providers and pay with the voucher. Contentour Inc. is registered as a service provider for the export voucher programme.
How do I apply for an export voucher?
Companies apply directly during the government’s open call period and receive a voucher if selected. The timing and the size of the support change from year to year, so check the announcements on the official export voucher site (exportvoucher.com). If you do not have a voucher yet, we can look at which programme fits during a consultation.
Can I use the service without an export voucher?
Yes, you can contract with us directly without one. A voucher is only one way of reducing the cost — the service itself is the same. We will also check whether a local government or industry association runs another support programme you could use.
Data and privacy
Where does your company data come from?
We work from exhibitor lists published by show organisers and from the websites and company information those companies have made public. We do not collect information that has not been made public. A specialist checks what has been compiled before it is used in a result.
How is the information we provide used?
Information you provide is used only to find matching candidates and to prepare consultations and reports. It is not used for other purposes or sold to third parties; the detail is set out in our privacy policy. If you want it deleted, we handle the request in line with our privacy policy.
Do we receive the AI output as it is?
No — a specialist reviews the result before it is handed over. The system does the broad search for candidates, but a person checks whether each one is genuinely worth meeting and whether the explanation holds up. That is why the list takes a little time to arrive.
New to the terminology?
Forty terms that come up around trade shows — shell scheme, ATA Carnet, qualified buyer and the rest — explained in one place.
